Admission requirements For admission requirements
 

Program Costs:

  • The cost of the Pre-Service Academy is - Rio Grande Valley Area $600; Corpus Christi Area $800; Houston Area $800 and San Antonio Area $500.
  • The cost of the Internship is - (PAID ONLY ONCE YOU ARE HIRED AS A TEACHER and earning approximately $33k-$45k depending on school district and Region; internship fee is paid over a 10 month period and deducted from your salary or from your checking account via ACH) Rio Grande Valley Area $4000; Corpus Christi $4000; Houston Area $4200;  San Antonio Area $4000; Online (Statewide) for areas outside of our office locations $4200.
     
     

Additional Costs SBEC / ETS:
 

        $240.00
 For licensing examinations paid to the Educational Testing Service (ETS)
$47.00  Fingerprinting fee to be paid when applying for the Texas Probationary fee.
plus a fee of $10.00 for "fast pass" processing.
$52.00 For a one-year Texas Probationary Certificate, paid to the State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC).
$77.00  Certification fee upon program completion, paid to the State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC).
